CONGRESS VENUE

The Congress will be held in Military Museum, Istanbul on 24-26 October, 2007. Detailed information about the facilities will be given in the second announcement. The venue is located centrally in Istanbul within close walking distance from major hotels and close to both restaurants and a shopping district.

Military Museum is located in Harbiye where linking the most luxury shopping and entertainment centre Niþantaþý and historical Taxim Square which the artery of Istanbul night life. So that it can be said the museum is in the hearth of Ýstanbul.
The museum opened it's doors in 1959. Following some restoration the museum was modernised and a cultural centre was joined to it. Accompanying the exibition of many outfits weapons equipment and tents used by various Turkish armies throughout the history are live performances by the Ottoman Military Bands (Mehter).
